I just thought I would let you guys know what I've been doing this past week.
1. I helped Aunt Tina paint part of the townehouse. It was fun because I spent a lot of time with them and slept over for 5 nights. Chancy, McKay and I all had fun (I THINK!!!!)
2. I've been helping Grandpa with his buisness. I help him drill endplates for his cell. Though it is a little boring, I'm just glad I can help and he doesn't have to worry about the drilling.
3. Last night my dad, my dad's friend and I went to an IMAX theater that was about 2 hours away. We had decided to watch "The Dark Night." It was quite an experience. The whole theater was shaking with sound and it was intense and a little disturbing. Watching a 6-story screen Batman movie is pretty cool and worth the drive. I can't wait till it comes out on DVD!!!
4. Today we rearranged our family room so it would be more divided into seminary and living space. It looks a whole lot different than the old way.
5. Also today I went to my mom's "BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY." I had decided not to swim. We got there and Zane, Noah, and Stevie all hoped in. My dad and I walked toward the deep end of the pool just talking. I then looked over just in time to see Stevie jump into the water via the diving board. Now Stevie can't swim very well so we were all worried. Stevie just jumped off without a second thought and surfaced. She started to swim and then went under. At that point I had jumped in the pool with all my clothes on and my cell phone. I got her and with difficulty swam to the side. It's not easy swimming while someone is pushing you down and you're wearing jeans and tennis shoes. Well we made it to the side and my mom told me to go home and get my swimsuit and my dad to get floaties. That was very scary for me. I had never in real life had to do that.

WOW!!! What was Stevie thinking? or not thinking? I bet you felt good to be able to go in and save her.
Do you remember Justin jumped into our pool this week with his cell phone in his pocket? Two cell phones in the family ruined by people jumping into the pool in the same week, unbelievable! You had a better excuse than he though!
I'm not sure if you are aware of this but if you get your cell phone wet you can put it in a bowl of rice and it soaks up all the water. The key is to not use the phone while it is wet. That is what my YW told me and one of them said they actually did it and it works.
Good job Baxter on saving Stevie, that is scary and I bet your heart was racing!! It's a good thing you were there.
Baxie, I was so glad that you were there to jump in and save her. Your dad even told me after that, that he really does need to learn to swim since he felt completely helpless. Maybe he will finally do it and take lessons. That would be one really good thing that came from the experience. Another is that Stevie is going to take swim lessons herself.
I think that because it was a backyard pool and because the diving board was pretty low, Stevie thought the whole pool was the same depth. She was wrong.
Wow Bax. Good job. You should be a lifeguard. And sheesh Stevie, you really should start swim lessons.
