EFY

I had an awesome week at EFY. I felt the spirit a lot there. I'm definitley going to look forward to going next year. It was really cool because they asked me to play the piano in front of the classes and atleast 420 people. The first and the last times were ok but the middle times were not so hot. Oh well, atleast everybody encouraged me and recongnized me and didn't make fun of me!!! CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR!!!!!

Birthday Items

Here are the Birthday items I recieved. I have enjoyed them all a ton. Oh, I also got a camera and a card from Grandma and Gramps. Thankyou both!!!

Birthday!!!

Today is my birthday. I couldn't get to sleep until about 3 o'clock this morning. When I woke up, I woke up my parents. They quickly wrapped my presents and then I opened them. I got Oblivion (videogame), some flip-flops, 2 books, and a card saying "YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A CAMERA!!!!" I was excited after that. My mom and I went to Target and got me a camera. It is a Kodak that was origianally $180. It was on Clearance though so it was about $118. Then since it was the last camera and it was on display we got a 30% discount that brought it down to about $80. I was so lucky!!! It is a really cool camera. I took pictures today and realized a mistake I made. I took 10mp pictures which is way to high for this sight. I'll try to post some that are lower mp's.

Washington D.C.

Today my family and Grandma and Grandpa went to D.C. We had a really good time. We left at about 11 o'clock. We rode the metro up to the Mall (a big park). We went to the National Air and Space Museum first. It was really cool. There were a lot of hands on things there. We ate lunch at the food court there as well. I have to tell you it was EXPENSIVE!!!!! After lunch we visited the second floor and had a pleasant surprise. We met two senior missonaries from our church that were from Spanish Fork UT (or something like that, you'll have to the grandparents or my mom to give you the details.) This couple also knew somebody that grandma, grandpa, and my mom knew (you'll also have to ask them). After that museum we went to the Indian History. It was really boring. I liked the Air and Space Museum a lot better. It was really fun today and especially to see Grandma and Grandpa's reaction to the metro.

Sorry!!!

I've had a few comments on the previous post asking what the dermatologist was for. That is a really good question. It could've been anything and I was not thinking straight enough to put the reason down. Ok, the reason was for warts. I had one on my big toe, Ceci had one on her thumb, and Stevie had 6 on two toes.

I'M SO EXCITED. TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing But Trouble

Today, my dad and I were finishing up half of the banister. After today there should have been only the stairs left. We continued working well past dark. My dad had me put up some halogen lights and we could then see. We were finishing one of the last pieces needed when, DISASTER STRUCK!!!!! My dad was pushing the wood throught the blade on the table saw. We got to the end of the cut and since the discarded piece was cut little, it caught on the blade and flew up. While it did this, my dad's hand was forced onto the blade. He was very lucky. What should have been half tip of his finger gone, he got a little gash on his index finger. His finger nail was almost cracked to the bottom and it was bleeding around the nail and by the cut (gushing at first). I ran inside the house to get my mom, and having a mother's instince, she new what had happened when I said "MOM!!!" She went up stairs and we saw my dad washing it with water, wincing in pain. She told him to stop and she applied pressure to the area. He didn't like that at all. He felt nauseated and felt like he was going to pass out. We had him sit down and put his head by his knees. Of course he refused to stay in that position. He said that he would rather lay on the floor with his feet elevated. That left me to put all the stuff away. I asked Grandpa if he would help and he shook his head. After we got everything put away, we both went to see my dad. He was acting and talking in a normal voice so I took that as a good sign. My mom wrapped it in a bandage and now he's on the computer planing the trip up to D.C. tomorrow. This is not at all exciting but Stevie, Ceci, and I went to the dermatologist. I used liquid nitrogen and the girls used some other stuff. I've now tried both ways and the liquid nitrogen is so much easier. I would reccomend that anyday. Well that's all that happened today. Not much excitement ;).

My Hair

Well as the Stevens and the Grandparents, as well as the Bainter Family knows.....

I GOT MY HAIR CUT!!!!!! It is really short because the hair stylist misunderstood us or something. I had to get it cut above my ears and shoulders for EFY. While I was in the chair, I was thinking, is this ever going to end?? She just kept cutting and cutting and cutting. Oh well, I hope it grows out more before school starts!!!

P.S. I'll try to get a picture in!!

Hooray for Noah!!!

I don't know if you can tell, but this is what I've been living with. This is my sunburn that is peeling. It is like that all over my back and shoulders. To make it even worse it itches constantly. I woke up this morning to find that I was surrounded by the peelings of my back. I was pretty disgusted. Noah has been nice because when I ask him to peel my back he sighs, drops what he is doing, and starts rubbing away (rubbing is faster the picking). I am so grateful that he does it cause it relieves the itching.

More Stuff

Today after church I had a Scoutmaster Review and a Board of Review. I passed both of them so now I can get my STAR. It is 2 ranks away from EAGLE. I have all the merit badges for LIFE, so in 6 months I'll be able to get LIFE. Then all I need is 9 more merit badges, a big service project and 6 months I could be an EAGLE. YAY!!!

OH BOY!!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ONLY 6 MORE DAYS UNTIL MY BIRTH DAY!!!!! HOORAY!!! 14 HERE I COME!!!

A Whole Bunch of Stuff!!!!!!!!!

I haven't been on for awhile so there is a lot for me to post.

First, SCOUT CAMP. I earned 6 merit badges and my dad came halfway through the week. I was elected Senior Patrol Leader for the whole stake. I was basically in charge of 86 people including myself. Brother Franklin (the Scoutmaster of the whole stake) and a bishop of another ward gave me a new scout book and cover out of appreciation.

Second, THE BEACH. My family, the Stevens, and the Youngs, went out to Ocean City for a couple days. My family came home early because my mom made a mistake with the nights and we were all to sunburned to stay. My back is still hurting because we used some spray-on sunscreen that didn't work. On our way home we stopped and watch Walle. It was a really good movie. Then we went to Wal-Mart and got some Solarcaine and Vantage Point which is another really good movie. We got home and un-packed and fell asleep.

Third, FOURTH OF JULY. We went to one of my dad's friends house for fourth of July. He puts on his very own illegal firework show. It is one of the best firework shows I have ever been to. While we were waiting for dark, a few of us went up-stairs to his home theater. We watched 10,000 B.C. It was a really good movie. Before we went to the guy's house my dad and I were working on rebuilding our banister. He thinks it will look better the way we're building it now then it does currently.

Fouth, TODAY. My dad, my brothers and I were all out cutting and sanding away for our new banister. I'm so glad that my dad is letting me use the tablesaw and belt sander. The belt sander has a definite pull to it and it was making my arm ache after a few pieces of wood. We watched The GamePlan tonight and it is also a really good movie.

Well, I'm tired and I'm going to go to bed so I can get up for church in the morning. GOOD NIGHT!!!!
